Information we collect

When you request a stock alert, MideaFinder stores your email address, selected country, language, product, optional source preference, note, postal code and price ceiling, confirmation and stock-email delivery status, monitoring tier, paid-access expiry, a random alert-management token, submission time, and browser user agent. We use this information to run the alert, prevent duplicate emails, provide pause and unsubscribe controls, and diagnose delivery failures.

Payments

Paid alerts use Stripe-hosted Checkout with Managed Payments. Link acts as Merchant of Record and receives the customer and payment information needed for payment, fraud prevention, indirect tax, receipts, transaction support, disputes, and refunds under the Stripe privacy policy. MideaFinder does not receive or store a full card number, card security code, or bank credentials.

MideaFinder stores the chosen plan, pay.yito.ai order and Stripe event references, amount, currency, payment or refund state, entitlement window, reconciliation and email-delivery state, refund request, and the versions and times of both required consents. These records are used to perform the contract, prevent duplicate activation, reconcile provider failures, support refunds, and meet accounting or legal duties.

Service providers and transfers

Cloudflare hosts the site, Workers, and D1 records; Resend delivers operational emails; pay.yito.ai coordinates signed payment state; Stripe and Link handle checkout and Merchant of Record duties; and the analytics providers described below measure site use. Each provider processes only the data needed for its role. Providers may process data outside the European Economic Area using their published transfer safeguards.

Alert controls and retention

Every automated alert email includes a private management link for pausing, resuming, or unsubscribing the alert. A newer request for the same email, market, and product supersedes the older request so one availability event does not create duplicate messages. You can also ask support to correct or delete a record.

MideaFinder stores source checks, availability states, observed prices, delivery attempts, notification idempotency records, and billing records needed to resolve payments and meet legal or accounting duties. Operational stock records do not contain retailer account details or full payment credentials.

Legal bases and your choices

Alert requests, payment activation, operational emails, and refunds are processed to provide the service you request or take steps before a contract. Security, duplicate prevention, source health, and limited service diagnostics rely on legitimate interests in operating a reliable service. Records required for tax, accounting, disputes, or legal claims are retained for the applicable legal period.

Depending on applicable law, you may request access, correction, deletion, restriction, objection, or portability and may complain to a competent data-protection authority. Unsubscribing stops future stock emails; it does not erase billing records that must be retained. MideaFinder does not sell personal information or use alert content for automated decisions with legal effects.

Analytics

The site uses Google Analytics 4 and click.pageview.click to understand page views, referrers, device categories, alert funnel steps, and outbound retailer clicks. Funnel events do not include the email address or free-text note. Analytics helps us improve the guide and detect broken pages. Do not send secrets through URLs or support requests.
