Midea PortaSplit stock tracker alternatives
Four ways to find out when a Midea PortaSplit is back in stock in Europe, compared on what each one actually watches, what it costs and where it fails.
A Midea PortaSplit rarely sells out everywhere at once. It disappears from one retailer, reappears at another, and the useful window is often a few hours. That makes the tracker you choose more important than the number of retailers it claims to cover. A general stock tracker with 50 stores is useless if none of them sell this model, and an Amazon-only tracker cannot see the DIY chains where the split unit is often listed first.
This page compares the options a European buyer can use today. The prices and coverage claims were read from each service's public page on 21 October 2026, and the source links are at the end. MideaFinder is one of the options, so treat this as a buying guide rather than a neutral review: the limitations of each option, including ours, are listed in the table.
The options at a glance
Cost, coverage and the main limitation of each approach.
| Option | Cost | What it watches | Alert speed | Main limitation |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| MideaFinder free alert | Free, no account | One supported source chosen by the buyer | Every 15 minutes | One source only, so it can miss a restock at a different retailer |
| MideaFinder paid alert | EUR 4.90 for 7 days, EUR 8.90 for 30 days, EUR 12.90 for 60 days | All currently supported Germany sources | Every 5 minutes | Germany only, and the window expires instead of renewing |
| NowInStock | Free, registration required | General retail availability across 12 country sites, including Germany | When its own check sees stock | Not Midea-specific; a tracker must exist for the exact model |
| Keepa | Browser extension and a paid Pro subscription; the public pricing page did not render without JavaScript when checked | Amazon products only | Price-drop and availability alerts on Amazon | Does not watch MediaMarkt, OBI, BAUHAUS or other European chains |
| Manual retailer checks | Free | Whatever you open yourself | As often as you check | Misses restocks overnight and during work hours |
Prices and plan terms were checked on 21 October 2026. Retailer stock changes faster than any of these services can report it, so confirm the product page before paying.
MideaFinder: narrow coverage, explicit checks
A stock alert built for one product family rather than a general tracker.
MideaFinder is an independent guide for buying the Midea PortaSplit in Europe. It does not sell, reserve or ship the unit. Its free alert checks one supported source every 15 minutes and needs no account. The private management link in every email pauses, resumes or cancels the alert, so the buyer does not create a password to use it.
The paid plan is for the week when stock is moving. It checks all currently supported Germany sources every 5 minutes, accepts an optional source preference and a maximum observed price, and runs for a fixed 7, 30 or 60 days. Paid time continues while the alert is paused, and the alert falls back to the free cadence when the window ends. Nothing renews automatically.
The limit is the same one that makes the alerts specific: coverage is deliberately narrow. The finder covers Germany, Austria, France, Spain, Italy, the Netherlands and Poland, but the 5-minute paid monitoring is limited to Germany sources. If you are buying in France or Poland, the free cadence and the country finder are the relevant tools.
NowInStock: broad catalogue, no Midea promise
A general restock tracker with a German site and a free account.
NowInStock is a general restock and pre-order tracker. Its German site lists product categories and says it alerts registered users when stock becomes available. Registration is free, and the site describes itself as free and spam-free. The country list covers the United States, Canada, the United Kingdom, Germany, France, Italy, Spain, the Netherlands, Sweden, Australia, Japan and Mexico.
For a Midea PortaSplit buyer, the catch is specificity. A general tracker only helps if the exact model has a tracker on its site, and its examples lean toward gaming hardware, cameras, collectibles and consumer electronics. The site also tracks appliances, so it is worth a search before dismissing it. Just do not assume that a German country site means every German retailer or every air conditioner is covered.
The second difference is the alert model. NowInStock is built around a catalogue of tracked products. MideaFinder is built around a set of retailer sources for one product family. If the exact PortaSplit listing exists on NowInStock, its alert is a useful second opinion. If it does not, no amount of registration will create one.
Keepa: excellent for Amazon, blind to the DIY chains
The strongest Amazon price history tool is not a European retailer stock tracker.
Keepa describes itself as an Amazon price tracker that tracks over 7 billion Amazon products, with price history charts and price drop alerts. If the PortaSplit listing you want is sold and shipped by Amazon, Keepa is the better tool for judging whether the current price is high compared with its own history. That is a different question from whether OBI or BAUHAUS has stock today.
Keepa does not claim to monitor MediaMarkt, Saturn, OBI, toom, BAUHAUS or HORNBACH. A buyer who needs those chains should not buy a Keepa subscription expecting European retail coverage. Keepa's public subscription page is rendered with JavaScript; when we checked on 21 October 2026 it did not display its plan price to a reader without scripts, so this page does not quote one. Check the checkout before subscribing.
Manual checks and retailer alerts
Free, precise and easy to miss.
Opening the retailer pages yourself is the most accurate method and the least reliable habit. You see the real price, the delivery date and the branch stock without an intermediary. You also have to remember to check at the right moment. PortaSplit restocks often appear and disappear during a working day, and a manual check at 22:00 can easily miss a unit that was available at 10:00.
Retailer notification buttons are a useful complement when a listing offers one, but each retailer manages its own list. There is no shared view across OBI, toom, BAUHAUS, HORNBACH and Amazon.de. That fragmentation is the reason a cross-retailer alert exists in the first place, and it is also the reason no single service can promise complete coverage.
Who each option is for
Pick by the job, not by the size of the feature list.
- Use the free MideaFinder alert if you have one preferred retailer and want a reminder without an account.
- Use the paid MideaFinder alert if you are buying in Germany during a short window and want every supported source checked every 5 minutes.
- Use NowInStock if the exact model already has a tracker there, or if you are also watching unrelated electronics restocks.
- Use Keepa if the unit is sold on Amazon and you mainly need price history before deciding whether today's price is fair.
- Use manual checks for the final confirmation. No tracker can complete the purchase or guarantee the unit is still there when you arrive.

Questions
Short answers about the alternatives.
Is there a free way to track Midea PortaSplit stock?
Yes. The MideaFinder free alert checks one supported source every 15 minutes and needs no account. NowInStock is also free with registration, but it only helps if the exact model has a tracker there.
What does the paid MideaFinder alert add?
It checks all currently supported Germany sources every 5 minutes instead of 15, supports an optional source preference and maximum price, and runs for a fixed 7, 30 or 60 days. It does not renew automatically.
Does NowInStock track the Midea PortaSplit?
It is a general restock tracker with a German site. Whether the exact PortaSplit model has a tracker depends on its catalogue, so search for the product before relying on it.
Can Keepa alert me when MediaMarkt or OBI restocks?
No. Keepa describes itself as an Amazon price tracker for Amazon products. It does not monitor MediaMarkt, OBI, BAUHAUS or other European retail chains.
Which countries does MideaFinder cover?
The finder covers Germany, Austria, France, Spain, Italy, the Netherlands and Poland. The 5-minute paid monitoring is limited to currently supported Germany sources.
Are MideaFinder stock results live?
No. MideaFinder records what it observed on a retailer page and links back to that page. Stock, price and delivery can change before you finish checkout, so confirm on the retailer site.
Is MideaFinder affiliated with Midea or the retailers?
No. MideaFinder is independent and does not sell, reserve or ship products. It links to external retailers and operates the alert service.
